Meet the Winemaker: Friday, October 16
Join us on Friday, October 16, 2026, at 6 PM for a Ca’ Montebello wine tasting with Alberto. For $10, you’ll sample five wines while hearing about the winery and the choices behind each pour. Ask questions, compare your favorites, and purchase bottles for Alberto to personally sign. Participants must be 21 or older.

The tasting lineup includes:
Ca’ Montebello Riesling Lightly effervescent and fresh, with delicate pineapple aromas. A lively choice to enjoy with seafood, charcuterie, or dishes with a little spice. | Ca’ Montebello Pinot Nero White A white wine made from gently pressed Pinot Nero grapes, with golden apple and peach aromas, a fresh palate, and a lingering finish. Try it with seafood or white meats. | Ca’ Montebello Pinot Nero Rosé A gently sparkling rosé with floral aromas, bright red-fruit notes, and a crisp finish. Enjoy it as an aperitif or alongside appetizers, seafood, or pizza. |
Ca’ Montebello Pinot Nero (Pinot Noir) An approachable Italian red with cherry and raspberry aromas, subtle spice, smooth tannins, and refreshing acidity. A lovely match for roasted poultry or mushroom dishes. | Ca’ Montebello Buttafuoco A full-bodied red with black cherry, plum, and warm spice notes. Rich fruit and a structured palate make it a good companion for lasagna, grilled sausages, or aged cheeses. |
One reason to explore this lineup is the opportunity to compare Pinot Nero in white, rosé, and red expressions. Pinot Nero is the Italian name for Pinot Noir. Tasting these wines alongside one another offers a starting point for discussing how winemaking shapes what ends up in your glass. With Riesling and Buttafuoco also in the lineup, there’s plenty to talk about—and perhaps a new favorite to bring home.
From Northern Italy to Your Glass
These five Ca’ Montebello wines share an origin in Oltrepò Pavese, in Lombardy in northern Italy. The family winery is located in Cigognola, in the province of Pavia. The map marks their shared winery area rather than separate vineyard sites.
